Crassus’ army box leads the player to take up the banners of the legions that the “richest man in Rome” formed to fulfill his dream of conquering the opulent Parthian Empire. He is accompanied by his son, Crassus Iunior, a skilled and courageous general, who had been trained in Caesar’s first campaigns in Gaul. His archenemy, Surena, responsible for his defeat and death at Carrhae, shares a box with both of them, ready to put his genius at the service of the Parthian armies. Crassus’ legions do not know what is coming, but with the help of the fearless vigiles and numerous eastern mercenaries, such as the Galatian legionaries and the Rhodian slingers, they may be able to defeat fate and change the history of the world.
