Bushido: Axiam is an expansion for Bushido: Risen Sun released in 2020 for 2 players, 30–60 minutes per game, and ages 12 and up. Its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Dice Rolling, and Action Points.
Axiam is a Jonin or “High Man” in the Shadow Wind Clan. He has proven greater than the Shadow Crows and now teaches those who would be North Star Ninja. Still some missions must be overseen by more experienced hands and Axiam shows why he is fit to teach the next generation with his prodigious skill. In the game Axiam has high melee skill, rare among ninjas and the only North Star model to have such high base statistic. His range of abilities is unparalleled as he can use any Feat of any North Star Ninja. He adds to this unpredictability with his Equipment rule allowing you to choose an Equipment Card mid game to suit the exact circumstances you are in. Blister contains one miniature supplied with a 30mm base and full colour profile card. —description from the publisher
Bushido: Axiam supports 2 players according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. The listed playing time for Bushido: Axiam is 30–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Bushido: Axiam for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
