Don't Fall For It! is a board game released in 2024 for 2–10 players, 20–40 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Phil Walker-Harding and its main mechanics are Team-Based Game and Cube Tower.
Don’t the fall for the fake answers to avoid the drop! Players form into two teams and take turns guessing which 5 of 11 items on a list are actual examples of a category on the card (e.g., Bears, Best Picture Oscar Winners, McDonald’s Menu Items). They pull a tab that keeps the answers hidden. If they guess right, the other team takes a turn. If they get one wrong, the tab will reveal a color that matches one of the planks they need to remove from a cardboard cube tower full of 21 wooden cubes. Any cubes that fall from the plank drop are collected by the team who removed the plank. Whichever team collects 11 cubes loses.
Don't Fall For It! supports 2–10 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Don't Fall For It! is 20–40 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Don't Fall For It! for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
