ElemenZ is a simple to understand and relatively quick dice-rolling challenge game. Incorporating a push-your-luck style of play with 4 sets of custom dice. In each game, multiple tactical 'combo' options allow a player to drain opponents of their dice, while trying to control the wild element 'Z' and convert it to one of the four main elements of Air, Earth, Fire and Water. Each player chooses from four different alien races, Master of a single element, each with variable race powers - in a battle to become the Master Zee. The game is actually 2-in-1. The 3-4 player challenge game and a very different 2 player tug-of-war game, as players attempt to control the flow of energy and energise the monolith with their element dice. ElemenZ is an easy game to learn but nonetheless offers much tactical depth, easily grasped by both kids and adults.
ElemenZ supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for ElemenZ is 12–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists ElemenZ for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
