Hansa Guilds is a board game released in 2024 for 2–4 players, 45–60 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Przemek Wojtkowiak and its main mechanics are Trading, Events, and Worker Placement.
In Hansa Guilds, you take on the role of merchants running merchant houses in the Hanseatic League area in the 15th century. During the game, players play their pawns on the selected action on the board, then perform the action by moving their wagon and ship markers on the board, completing contracts, and buying licenses. With each selected action, players acquire commodity tokens and place them on their board. At the end of the game, players sum their points from completed contracts, licenses, merchant houses, and remaining goods, and whoever has the most points wins. —description from the designer Hansa Guilds will be released as part of the 44th International Convention of the New Hanseatic League, which will be held in June 2024 in Gdansk, Poland. The publisher of the game is VisitGdansk. The partner of the release is InvestGDA. The historical credibility of the game was taken care of by specialists from the Gdansk Museum. Immerse yourself in the world of Hanseatic guilds and experience unforgettable adventures by playing Hansa Guilds!

The listed playing time for Hansa Guilds is 45–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Hansa Guilds for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Hansa Guilds has a complexity rating of 1.8 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
