Looterz: Rigor Mortis is a board game released in 2018 for 2–6 players, 30–40 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Fel Barros and Marco Portugal and its main mechanics are Take That and Dice Rolling.
The Dark Overlord Rigor Mortis and his servants have left the Tower of Dark Sorcery on an important mission. Before leaving, the overlord entrusted the tower to his business partner, the warrior Romolo. The latter is not the most brilliant guy, but he’s a willing hard-worker for sure. Romolo (and other creations and experiments of the sorcerer) is tasked to protect Rigor’s precious treasure, which is accidentally getting smaller and smaller every time he leaves for a few hours. What’s happening to the treasure of Rigor Mortis? Is there really anyone fool enough to steal from the Dark Overlord? Looterz is a fast and simple card game with amazing illustrations of Riccardo Crosa. The game is set in the fantastic universe of the Dark Overlord Rigor Mortis. Use your deck of cards to unleash devastating combos and loot the treasure of Rigor Mortis, while hindering the efforts of your opponents. Who will steal the treasure of Rigor Mortis before the activation of his lazy magic alarms inside the Tower? Who will escape with the loot and leave all opponents at the mercy of His Dark Majesty?
Looterz: Rigor Mortis supports 2–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. The listed playing time for Looterz: Rigor Mortis is 30–40 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Looterz: Rigor Mortis for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Looterz: Rigor Mortis has a complexity rating of 1.5 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
