Marrakesh: Walls & Guards is an expansion for Marrakesh released in 2026 for 2–4 players, 120 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Stefan Feld and Ulrich Fonrobert.
Walls & Guards This expansion is not just "more of the same"—it fundamentally changes how life in the desert city works. Based on Stefan Feld’s latest designs, we have packed this box with exciting new challenges. Build & Defend The desert is becoming a dangerous place. For the first time, you will need to construct a mighty City Wall to protect your achievements from the looming threat of Desert Raiders. A New Use for the Tower You know and love the Keshi Tower for distributing resources. But in Walls & Guards, the tower becomes the arena for your defense! You will be throwing your Guards into the tower to fend off attackers. Will they stand their ground, or will the raiders break through? Farewell, Sahara Tiles? Yes, you heard that right. This expansion shakes up the familiar board layout. The classic Sahara tiles are making way for a completely new player board section dedicated to your fortifications. This also brings a fascinating twist to the Green and Brown districts, allowing for fresh strategies and mixed placement of Keshis. New Layers of Strategy On top of that, we are introducing new modular elements like Private Objectives and powerful Edicts from the Sultan and Imam, giving you even more ways to score and adapt your playstyle. Get your guards ready—Marrakesh needs you. —description from the publisher
