Myth: Pantheons is a board game released in 2010 for 3–6 players, 45 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Brent Keith and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Trick-taking.
From the Publisher: In Myth, each player takes the role of a mythic deity, vying to gain the worship of the ancient world’s great cities and gain the most followers. One player may have a goddess of the harvest and fertility, multiplying her followers, as another player with a trickster deity steals away valuable wealth and rewards. Will you declare war on your enemies, send sickness to decimate their followers, smite them with lightning, or see the future in the stars and outplan your foes? Myth is a stand-alone card game with a deck for mortal affairs, unique deity cards allowing each of twelve ancient gods to wield their influence in a different manner, tokens for the godly powers, and a deck of 30 different cities each bringing different rewards to the deity who can claim them. Will you be the one to rule the cosmos?
Myth: Pantheons supports 3–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Myth: Pantheons is 45 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Myth: Pantheons for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Myth: Pantheons has a complexity rating of 2.4 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
