-- Story -- Local lords competed to send more things to the king to receive more lands. When someone sends an offering, other lords will do the same. Swear greater loyalty by many swords? Pay more wheat as a tribute? Pay better wine as a luxury item? Finally, the lord who sends most many things to the king receives the new lands. Gold coins and jewelry are great gifts for more appeal. The king loves both gold coins and jewelry. But what the king wants most is different each time. You will gain greater trust from the king if you outwit other lords to send what the king wants most. Get the king's trust and receive the new lands in 8 seasons, that is, 2 years. -- Overview -- This game is simple standard 3 suits mulst-follow trick-taking game. The listed playing time for Road To Lord is 10–15 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Road To Lord for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
