Run Bunny Run is a board game released in 2015 for 2–5 players, 20–50 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Kees Meis and Dennis Merkx and its main mechanics are Simultaneous Action Selection and Action Queue.
The wolves want rabbit for dinner, but the bunny has other ideas! The rabbit has superior agility, but the wolves have pack tactics. Will the wolves feast, or will the rabbit rest easy in its comfy den? In Run Bunny Run, one player is the bunny trying to make its way home, and the rest are hungry wolves! The wolf players move by placing cards that show where their next move will be (akin to Wings of War), and they work as a group to corner the rabbit. The rabbit player moves relative to the wolves, trying to find a path through the danger and to the safety of their rabbit hole. Will you be the hunter or the hunted? In addition to the movement cards, the game includes a few rabbit holes and fences to make the gameplay more varied.
Run Bunny Run supports 2–5 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Run Bunny Run is 20–50 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Run Bunny Run for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Run Bunny Run has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
