Show Me Your Sound is a board game released in 2021 for 2–8 players and 20–30 minutes per game. It was designed by Gary Kim, Hope S. Hwang, and Yohan Goh and its main mechanics are Deduction, Cooperative Game, and Communication Limits.
In the cooperative party game Show Me Your Sound for 2-8 players, you listen to an online sound, then give a clue to other players as to whether that sound is more or less related to a certain picture, trying to help them remove the right cards from play. In more detail, one player is the clue giver, while all others are the guessers. Randomly draw nine picture cards from the deck and place them face up. One of these cards is the "trap" picture, and only the clue giver knows which one. On a turn, the clue giver plays a sound from their mobile phone or from the dedicated website, letting everyone else hear it, then states whether the sound is MORE or LESS related to the trap picture--possibly using a hint tile while doing so. The guessers consult with one another, then flip over a picture card. If the flipped picture was not the trap, the game continues with a new sound for the next turn. Clear all eight pictures and avoid the trap to win!
Show Me Your Sound supports 2–8 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Show Me Your Sound is 20–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
Show Me Your Sound has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
