About the game

This supplement to Starfire 3rd Edition was the first publication from the Starfire Design Studio (SDS). Its rules presage the changes that the SDS introduced in 3rd Edition Revised. The most important features are a set of rules for combining the unique tech system from the Akelda Dawn expansion with the traditional tech system (for both tactical and strategic/campaign games), and new rules for the campaign system (Imperial Starfire), including an abstracted Commercial Freighter Network (CFN).

Questions and answers

The catalogue lists Starfire: Sky Marshal #2 for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
