Tongues Out! is a board game released in 2022 for 2–4 players, 5–20 minutes per game, and ages 4 and up. It was designed by Thierry Denoual and its main mechanics are Set Collection, Matching, and Memory.
About the game
All the lollies have disappeared, and these pot-bellied puppies are the likely culprits! In Tongues Out!, players investigate the hungry hounds by checking the colour of their tongues and trying to catch the dogs responsible for eating their sweets. On your turn, roll the two lolly dice to determine the two colours you are looking for. You then have up to two chances to press down on dogs and make them stick out their tongues. The dogs can be checked in the centre of the table or in any player's park, so remembering which dogs have been revealed can help you decide where to look. If a dog's tongue matches one of the rolled colours, move it to your park. Finding both matching dogs earns you both dogs and another turn. The game ends when a player has collected six dogs or when no dogs remain in the centre of the table. The first player to collect six dogs wins. If the centre is empty before anyone reaches six, the player with the most dogs in their park wins, with the last player to add a dog winning in case of a tie. —description from the publisher's website

Questions and answers
Tongues Out! supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Tongues Out! is 5–20 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Tongues Out! for ages 4 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Tongues Out! has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
Tongues Out! belongs to these categories: Children's Game and Memory. Its main mechanics are Set Collection, Matching, and Memory. Categories describe the theme and setting of a game, while mechanics describe what players actually do on their turns.
