Truth Be Told is a board game released in 2009 for 3–8 players, 35 minutes per game, and ages 12 and up.
Truth Be Told is the revealing new laugh-out-loud, pretend to know your friends party game! Each round, one of the players is the Host, and plays a question card such as, "Truth Be Told, my favorite snack is ______." The Host writes a truthful answer - pork rinds. All other players pretend to be the Host, and write bluff answers - wich seems like something the Host wrote - pretzels, prunes, sardines. The Host collects and reads all answers aloud, and players try to guess the True Answer to score points. Bluff answers score points too - so there are alot of ways to win, and a lot of hooting, snickering, and giggling along the way.
Truth Be Told supports 3–8 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Truth Be Told is 35 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
