XIG 4E: Fire Pathway is an expansion for XIG: The Four Elements released in 2005 for 2–4 players and 60 minutes per game. It was designed by Greg Scott, Tor Nawrot, and Tim Huesken and its main mechanics are Tile Placement.
XIG is a tile-laying game where players try to be the first to complete their own pathway - based on one of four elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air - as quickly as possible by laying down puzzle-piece style tiles. There are also cards that can help you advance or hinder your opponent. The pathways are sold in complete sets, and booster packs of cards are currently planned. The base game includes the Water and Earth pathways. This is one of the first two expansions for the game (the other being the Air pathway). It includes the entire Fire pathway, a set of XAG cards, a small "collector's" box, and 2 special bonus "new edition" XAG cards plus 1 special "limited edition" foil puzzle piece. Other future expansions are hinted at in the rules. Expands: XIG: The Four Elements
