6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel is a board game released in 1994 for 2–4 players, 30 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Wolfgang Kramer and its main mechanics are Hand Management.
6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel is a small, promotional copy of 6 nimmt! containing 24 cards and playable for 2 to 4 players. The game plays very similar to 6 nimmt! except that the cards here are numbered 1 through 24. With 2 players, each player will be dealt a hand of 10 cards, but for 3 or 4 players, each player starts with 7 or 5 cards, respectively. 3 of the remaining cards form the rows where players will play their cards. Players simultaneously select a card to play and will add their cards to the rows in ascending order. If a player selects a card that is so low it cannot be added to any series, that player takes a row of cards and the low card begins a new row. Each row can contain at most 5 cards. The player that places the 6th card must take the other cards in the row and the 6th card is used to start a new row. The object of the game is to have the lowest score at the end of 4 rounds. Rounds end after all cards have been played. Players score points for each ox head present on the cards they collect.
6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for 6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel is 30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists 6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel belongs to these categories: Card Game and Number. Its main mechanics are Hand Management. Categories describe the theme and setting of a game, while mechanics describe what players actually do on their turns.
