Arborea: Corruption is an expansion for Arborea released in 2027 for 1–5 players, 90–120 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Dani Garcia.
The sky dims over Arborea’s prospering ecosystem as something blighted creeps across the lands. Darkness spews forth from an ancient city, corrupting everything it touches. Can your villagers work together to hold back the decay, or will this be the end of the current cycle of Arborea? In Arborea Corruption, players send workers down new tracks to remove corruption from your creatures and ecosystems. Make offerings to the new Portal Sage, gain additional rewards for clearing corruption from the shared sages, and collect unique and ancient Majestic Creatures to bring into your ecosystems. The Corruption expansion adds new rules, options, and scoring (including negative points). The rules of the base game have not changed and still apply unless explained differently.
Arborea: Corruption supports 1–5 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Arborea: Corruption is 90–120 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Arborea: Corruption for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
