Ascension: Realms Unraveled Center Deck is an expansion for Ascension: Deckbuilding Game released in 2025 for 2–4 players, 30 minutes per game, and ages 13 and up. It was designed by Justin Gary and its main mechanics are Hand Management, Open Drafting, and Deck, Bag, and Pool Building.
Full Ascension set required for this expansion While cards in previous Ascension games have always belonged to one of four factions, Ascension: Realms Unraveled introduces multi-faction heroes, and these heroes combine with the new "Multi-Unite" game mechanism to deliver huge rewards to those who play multiple heroes from the same faction. Ascension: Realms Unraveled also features the Transform mechanism that debuted Ascension: Darkness Unleashed, with players being able to convert their cards into new, more powerful versions as the game progresses. Note: Ascension Center Deck Sets include every center deck card from the original set, along with unique card types, rules, and components needed to play. However, these sets do not include starting cards & the always available cards, honor tokens, a game board, or the original box and therefore require an appropriate base set which contain those necessary game components.
Ascension: Realms Unraveled Center Deck supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Ascension: Realms Unraveled Center Deck is 30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Ascension: Realms Unraveled Center Deck for ages 13 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
