Baltic Cauldron is a board game expansion released in 2026 for 2–4 players. It was designed by David Manley and its main mechanics are Scenario / Mission / Campaign Game.
The Baltic Sea was one of the most politically fractured, geographically constrained, and tactically diverse maritime theatres of the Second World War. Unlike the open Atlantic or the island labyrinth of the Aegean, the Baltic was a semi‑enclosed battleground where every coastline was contested and every island mattered. Baltic Cauldron is the first in a series of scenario books for WW2 coastal forces wargaming. Although written with LFG’s Narrow Seas and Action Stations rules firmly in mind, the 20 scenarios included here along with the scenario generation system are applicable to other sets of coastal forces rules such as Torpedoes and Tides and Cruel Seas. —description from the publisher
Baltic Cauldron supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
Baltic Cauldron belongs to these categories: Wargame, Miniatures, and Nautical. Its main mechanics are Scenario / Mission / Campaign Game. Categories describe the theme and setting of a game, while mechanics describe what players actually do on their turns. Each mechanic links to a catalogue hub with similar games, which helps when you want something comparable.
The credited designers of Baltic Cauldron are: David Manley. These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers. Designer pages on MeepleRules collect other titles by the same designers, which helps when you enjoy a game and want to find similar ones.
The catalogue lists Baltic Cauldron as an expansion. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to an existing base game and usually cannot be played on their own. Check the box or publisher description for the exact base game required, and make sure your edition of that game is compatible with this expansion.
