Battlecrest: Expansion Collection #5 is a board game expansion released in 2026 for 2–4 players, 20 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Dustin Dobson, Ian Howard, Milan Zivkovic, and Yann Perrin and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Grid Movement.
How about some more heroes? With more heroes you can get a lot of variety out of your games. You can also play them in solo (either as or against them) and even play 3-4P team games. The fifth expansion collection introduces two new Heroes, Dowdran and Thrasher. The undead Dowdran is a pyromaniac who just wants to watch the world burn — and with his hazard-generating Heat Wave ability, he can make that happen. Thrasher is a high-powered athlete who packs a big punch, using doubled crests to maximize her offense and defense. It also includes a brand-new Imperator solo AI that can be used on its own or mixed with either (or both!) of the two previous Imperator expansions. Of course, it’s not just more of the same! Imperator III has its own unique playstyle, favoring caution and mobility over reckless offense. With cards that check for refocusing at the start of the turn, rather than doing it at the end, players must be shrewd if they want to catch this Imperator unprepared! Includes: Dowdran Hero set and AI sheet (for solo play). Thrasher Hero set and AI sheet (for solo play). Imperator III solo expansion. What is the mark of a true champion? Legendary heroes clash across the Neververse to find out. Battlecrest is a card-based tactical skirmish game for 2 players (1-4 with expansions). With perfect information, players must truly outwit their opponent to win. Characters are composed of 6-card sets featuring a hero card, a health tracker, and action cards. Occasionally a minion or item will replace an action card. The map is built of 6 cards as well, with the cards randomly placed in a set pattern. Players take turns maneuvering their characters around the dynamic, and often dangerous map while unleashing powerful attacks. As action cards are used they open up new possibilities and empower the character’s battlecrests. Build up to decisive strikes or refocus to get powers back. Every character has a unique set of actions and preferred tactics, so no two battles play the same. —description from the publisher
