About the game

Card Capture is a relatively simple introduction to the Deck Building genre using a standard deck of 54 playing cards. Players start with the smallest cards in the deck and slowly use them to purchase higher-valued cards, while at the same time strategically thinning their draw decks and avoiding the capture of their own valuable cards. Card Capture is the winner of the Best card game using a traditional deck of playing cards in the 2018 Solitaire Print and Play Game Design Contest.

Questions and answers

Card Capture supports 1 player according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
