Christian Fluxx is an expansion for Fluxx released in 2006 for 2–6 players, 5 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Andrew Looney.
These are 7 cards to add to a regular Fluxx deck. The cards in this set include Christian themes of The Cross and the Story of Jesus and give a player a bonus for knowing or showing their Christian faith. Fluxx is a card game where the cards themselves determine the current rules of the game. By playing cards, you change numerous aspects of the game: how to draw cards, how to play cards, and even how to win. At the start of the game, each player holds three cards and on a turn a player draws one card, then plays one card. By playing cards, you can put new rules into play that change numerous aspects of the game: how many cards to draw or play, how many cards you can hold in hand or keep on the table in front of you, and (most importantly) how to win the game. Part of the Fluxx series.
Christian Fluxx supports 2–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Christian Fluxx is 5 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Christian Fluxx for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Christian Fluxx has a complexity rating of 1.7 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
Christian Fluxx belongs to these categories: Card Game, Religious, and Expansion for Base-game. Categories describe the theme, setting and style of a game rather than its rules. Filter the catalogue by the same category to find similar games when you enjoyed Christian Fluxx and want something comparable for your next game night.
The credited designers of Christian Fluxx are: Andrew Looney. These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers. Designer pages on MeepleRules collect other titles by the same designers, which helps when you enjoy a game and want to find similar ones.
The catalogue lists Christian Fluxx as an expansion for Fluxx. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need Fluxx to use it. Check that your edition of Fluxx is compatible, as some expansions were revised between editions.
