Escola de Dragões is a board game released in 2014 for 2–4 players, 15 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Ramsés Sohn and its main mechanics are Open Drafting.
User Description (English): We are in the last days of school prior to graduation of another class of students from the School of Dragons, a powerful institution teaching the doctrine of Draconaria, the art of training dragons. It's time to find out who was the student who dedicated all his time to the secrets of the Dragon training, since only one student will receive the title of Master Trainer! Escola de Dragões (School of Dragons) has only one goal: to find out which of the students is the Master Trainer. For this, the player must reach 25 points before his rivals, but beware, not always the other students will play under the rules (and probably you too)! Escola de Dragões is a filler cardgame for 2-4 players (the use of 2 decks allows 5-8 players), no language needed and simple rules, where the interaction between players aims to undermine the possibility victory of the rivals. The game uses a deck of 54 cards and is aimed primarily at children and young-adults (8+ years) or groups that don't have the habit of playing cardgames.
Escola de Dragões supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Escola de Dragões is 15 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Escola de Dragões for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Escola de Dragões has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
Escola de Dragões belongs to these categories: Card Game, Fantasy, and Children's Game. Its main mechanics are Open Drafting.
