A fairy has taken some objects from your desk! In order to get them back, you must correctly guess which of your items is missing from the treasure box. In Fairy Prank, one player will take on the role of the fairy and remove items from the treasure box while the remaining players will try to guess what is missing by shaking it and listening to the sounds. The player who correctly guesses the same item three times, or identifies six different items at least once is the winner. Gameplay runs for about 20 minutes. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Fairy Prank for ages 6 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Fairy Prank has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
