Fairytale is a board game released in 2026 for 1–6 players, 20–80 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Aiollus, SPAGY, and Siber and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Area Movement.
Once upon a time, in the heart of a bustling city, there lived a joyful family with their beloved pets; Zinon the loyal Pug, Eliana the graceful Cat, Christian the daring Hamster, and Hector the nimble Gecko. Though their lives were filled with love, the family longed for a break from the city's noise. So, they journeyed to their quiet retreat, a cozy wooden cabin deep in the forest. The first day passed in peaceful bliss, but when dawn broke on the second day, the pets awoke to an alarming sight. The cabin was empty. Their beloved family had vanished without a trace! Shocked but determined, the four friends gathered what little supplies they could find and set off into the unknown, determined to uncover the mystery and bring their family home. Fairytale is a dungeon-crawler for families and experienced gamers alike that fosters cooperation, wonder, and unforgettable adventures. Choose your weapon, armor, and abilities to fully customize your Hero for the challenges ahead. Select one of the many Stories to play, each one taking place in an expansive world inspired by classic fairytales. Complete missions to gather Evergems, powerful artifacts that upgrade your equipment and enhance your abilities. But hurry! Time is ticking, and the Story Dice will determine the events unfolding on your adventure and how much precious time remains. With 4 base Heroes to choose from and 2 more from each expansion, each with a unique miniature, unique deck, and fully customizable player board, over 23 different Encounters, and 3 formidable Bosses, every game is packed with new experiences and hidden mysteries waiting to be discovered.
Fairytale supports 1–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Fairytale is 20–80 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Fairytale for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Fairytale belongs to these categories: Fantasy, Animals, and Exploration. Its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Area Movement.
