About the game
The limited edition "Saint Joan" luminary card was originally included with vinyl copies of The Decemberist's album "As it Ever Was, So It Will Be". The card will also be included as a bonus card for the French edition of Illimat. The "Saint Joan" luminary card was inspired by the Jules Bastien-Lepage painting Joan of Arc. The rules for "Saint Joan" are: "If you possess Saint Joan at the end of the round, you gain two points instead of the usual one point for a luminary. However, this blessing comes at a price. When you collect Saint Joan by clearing a field, you must immediately reseed the field using all the cards in your hand. This occurs regardless of whether or not you collected an okus, and takes the place of any other reseeding of this field. Once you’ve placed your cards in the field, redraw until you have four cards in your hand."

Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Illimat: Saint Joan is 15–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Illimat: Saint Joan for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Illimat: Saint Joan has a complexity rating of 2.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.

These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers. The catalogue lists Illimat: Saint Joan as an expansion for Illimat.
