O Jogo da Enciclopédia is a board game released in 2000 for 3–6 players, 60 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. Its main mechanics are Paper-and-Pencil and Voting.
One player (the leader of the round) take a card from a pile containing weird questions (such as "why chicken lay eggs of different colors"), then he chooses one of them and reads it aloud for the rest of the players. Each one of the players must write secretly an answer for the question. More than knowing the correct answer, it is important to try and convince your opponents that your answer is the right one. After all players have written their papers, the leader reads aloud all of the answers given by the players adding the correct answer from the card. Then each player vote on the definition he thinks is the correct. Players score by getting votes from others players, by giving the correct answer to the question or by voting in the correct answer. The leader of the round only scores if no player votes in the correct answer.
O Jogo da Enciclopédia supports 3–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for O Jogo da Enciclopédia is 60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists O Jogo da Enciclopédia for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.

The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
