From the publisher: The funtastic party game in a handy travel size edition! Party Alias is a hilarious version of the popular word explaining game Alias – a word game with a twist! The words are explained in completely new and crazy ways whenever the team lands on one of the Party spaces. You might get to tell a crazy story that includes all the words on a card, describe celebrities, or try to explain the words without using a certain letter. You also get to explain words in different moods – will you be hysterical, depressed or angry? Party Alias challenges everyone to explain, get active and use their creativity! This travel version is different from the first Party Alias. It uses dice instead of a spinner, has fewer cards, and the story telling cards are made a little shorter (only 4 required to get the bonus).
The listed playing time for Party Alias (Travel) is 45 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Party Alias (Travel) for ages 11 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Party Alias (Travel) has a complexity rating of 2.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
