Rallyman: GT – GT5 is an expansion for Rallyman: GT released in 2020 for 1–6 players, 45–60 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Jean-Christophe Bouvier and its main mechanics are Push Your Luck, Roll / Spin and Move, and Dice Rolling.
The GT5 expansion includes 6 new coloured plastic car models, 32 Dashboards, 6 Driver cards, one new die and a rulebook. Includes: Brand new set of dashboards for both Asphalt and Rain tires. 6 new cars that only have 5 black Gear dice. However, they more than make up for it with the addition of a new Boost die! This green die works just like a Brake die except that it allows you to skip a gear when accelerating instead of slowing down! New Dashboards for the GT6 cars in order to race them against GT5 cars. These new boards modify the cars slightly, balancing them out so that they can race together on equal terms, yet still retaining their unique traits.
Rallyman: GT – GT5 supports 1–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Rallyman: GT – GT5 is 45–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Rallyman: GT – GT5 for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Rallyman: GT – GT5 has a complexity rating of 2.3 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
