Roll For It! Express is a board game released in 2014 for 1 player, 5 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Chris Leder and its main mechanics are Push Your Luck and Dice Rolling.
All the fun of Roll For It! in a single card! In this solitaire microgame, you get three rolls to score as close to 30 points as possible! Roll the dice and then place them into the quadrants so that they add up to the target number. Use the minimum number of dice in each quadrant, or you lose points! Compare your score to your friends and then start again! The score card has 4 scoring sections with a value of 4, 6, 8 and 12 points. Players may use multiple rolls to complete any quadrant(s). However, once a die is placed it cannot be moved or re-rolled. If a player successfully utilizes all 6 dice on the gold Calliope squares in the appropriate quadrants they will achieve the perfect score: 30 points! Playable in a flash, this is a great game to take with you when gathering with your friends or hanging out at the pub! Roll it! Place it! Score It!
Roll For It! Express supports 1 player according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
The listed playing time for Roll For It! Express is 5 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Roll For It! Express for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Roll For It! Express has a complexity rating of 1.1 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game.
