Selfish: Shipwrecked Edition is a board game released in 2023 for 2–5 players, 20–30 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. Its main mechanics are Take That and Race.
How far would you go to save yourself? Totally selfish behaviour and utter ruthlessness will be needed to stay alive in this game! Only one castaway can get home on the remaining ration supplies and you must battle against riptides, waves, sharks and most dangerous of all, each other, to win! Full of clever puns, this ruthless strategy card game includes 5 player cards, 1 raft card, 42 action cards, 48 ration cards, 30 ocean cards, a play mat and instructions. —description from the publisher Each cast away starts with a hand of 5 Game Cards which contain a mixture of Ration and Action Cards. On your turn, pick up a card from the Game card pile which is formed of Action cards and rations. Action cards allow you to attack other players by stealing precious Rations, moving them back a space or shielding yourself from other players attacks! You can then use your ration cards to move forward through the dangerous ocean. Each time you move forward you reveal an ocean card which can help or harm you! Get back to the raft first to win, but remember to keep enough Rations or you'll die...

The listed playing time for Selfish: Shipwrecked Edition is 20–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Selfish: Shipwrecked Edition for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Selfish: Shipwrecked Edition has a complexity rating of 1.3 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game.
