About the game

Squava is a derivative of Yavalath with the same goal but different components. It is intended to be a small simple game. It is played on a 5×5 square board. 2 players (White and Black) alternate turns placing a pawn of their colour on an empty space of the board. Players strive to make a line of 4 pieces of their colour, but lose if they make a line of 3 before doing so. Lines can be orthogonal or diagonal.

Questions and answers

Squava supports 2 players according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
