The Ancient World: The Sacred Cave is an expansion for The Ancient World released in 2014 for 2–4 players. It was designed by Ryan Laukat and its main mechanics are Set Collection, Dice Rolling, and Open Drafting.
A downloadable mini-expansion created for Kulkmanns' G@mebox SPIEL14-reports. Rules: When a player sends a citizen here, he may pay 1 coin to temporarily gain 1 sword. He may then immediately draw the top 3 Titans and attack one of them. This temporary sword can count for additional Titan attacks in the round. Although technically compatible with The Ancient World (Second Edition), this tile and two others like it are not included in the latter edition because other new elements in the game cover the same ground in better ways.
The Ancient World: The Sacred Cave supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
