About the game

2 player game depicting the hunt for Merchant raiders at the start of World War I. The map shows the whole world. Objective is to sink the German raiders (Allies) or attack convoys and avoid the hunters (Germans). The German player plots his movement, then the British player moves, and then the German player reveals and makes his moves. This game was later covered by Tactics magazine #49 in Japan. I heard this version used a different developper, probably Japanese designer, Akira Ishikawa. Strategy & Tactics #125

Questions and answers

The Far Seas supports 2 players according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
