Trust no one in this darkly dramatic family game. Players work together to collect a hoard of golden treasure, but danger is lurking. Among you are Traitors - and every time Night falls there's a good chance someone will attempt to commit a murder under the cover of darkness. Players start the game as either a Faithful or Traitor. Throughout, the Traitors murder people and the Faithful can try to banish the Traitors. Players draw cards into their hand and play them. Gold is added to the central prize pool which is split between the winners, but only if those winners are Faithful; Traitors will take it all for themselves. Banishments and murders can be carried out with the cards or with a web app provided by the developer.
The Traitors Card Game supports 4–8 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for The Traitors Card Game is 30–45 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists The Traitors Card Game for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
