Tindaya: Misfortunes Expansion is an expansion for Tindaya released in 2022 for 1–4 players, 45–120 minutes per game, and ages 13 and up. It was designed by Lolo González.
This mini expansion introduces a new deck of 12 cards called Misfortunes. At the beginning of each era, during the strategy phase, one Misfortune is revealed. Each one bends one rule, increasing the difficulty of the game and making life even more miserable for the natives. The next era, the previous misfortune is replaced by a new one, which will be active during that era. The misfortunes to come must remain secret until they are revealed during the next Era. The printable rules for the cards can be downloaded from the Files section of this version. More languages may be uploaded in the future.

The listed playing time for Tindaya: Misfortunes Expansion is 45–120 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Tindaya: Misfortunes Expansion for ages 13 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone.
