from Translation: A long way away there are a few palm trees, an a bit more sunshine than here, a wild band of monkeys and many bananas. We are right in the middle of of a typical banana paradise. Nothing disrupts the peace. Nothing except the wild shrieks from atop a monkey rock. The monkeys have a competition for the title Top Banana today. Let us see what happens… With orderly quick movements monkeys leap from rock to rock, first up, then down. Each has just one goal, to sit higher than the others at the end of the round, so he can get the best view. Unfortunately only the one who can do this the best can claim the title Top Banana.
Top Banana supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Top Banana is 30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Top Banana for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
