Triqueta: Hidden Wolves is an expansion for Triqueta released in 2023 for 2–5 players, 20–30 minutes per game, and ages 7 and up. It was designed by Stefan Dorra and Ralf zur Linde and its main mechanics are Set Collection and Open Drafting.
This expansion to Triqueta introduces a new type of animal: the friendly but shy wolves, who prefer to keep to the shadows. They step out from the shadows at the end of the game and are then worth a lot of points when forming a triqueta. However, since one of each other animal is also hiding in the shadows, collecting shadow animal tokens is never risk-free. Hidden Wolves adds 15 shadow animal tokens to the base game. As a special bonus, it comes with an exciting 2-player variant that makes the gameplay at that player count extremely enjoyable. —description from the publisher The expansion is included in newer versions (e.g. from 2024) of the base game.

The listed playing time for Triqueta: Hidden Wolves is 20–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Triqueta: Hidden Wolves for ages 7 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
