Yuan: l'Art de la Guerre – Chine is a board game released in 2023 for 2–4 players, 60 minutes per game, and ages 12 and up. It was designed by Charlie Sigogneau and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers and Programmed Movement.
YUAN, The Art of War, CHINA box, is a game of reflection and strategy for 2 to 4 players, with games lasting up to one hour, regardless of the number of players. The aim is to control a certain number of temples at the end of the turn. As this number decreases by one every two turns, one player is bound to reach the target within the hour. Each player programs his actions behind his screen, reveals them and carries them out on the central board simultaneously. These actions can be developmental, to expand your territory peacefully through colonization or expansion, fortification, to strengthen the defense of your cities or increase their production, or militarization, to create armies or attack enemy territories! You'll have to be subtle and guess your opponents' intentions, as all players program and apply effects at the same time. At the end of the round, each player adjusts their province and temple control levels to prepare for the next round! Province control allows you to reduce the cost of actions and perform more powerful actions. The special feature of the CHINA version is that, in addition to some tiles with a river creating additional connections between provinces, there are also different scenarios from the Mongolia version. For 5 to 8 players, simply add the YUAN, The Art of War - MONGOLIA box. —description from the publisher (translated) YUAN, L'Art de la Guerre, version CHINE, est un jeu de réflexion et de stratégie pour 2 à 4 joueurs et des parties d'une heure maximum quelque soit le nombre de joueurs.
