Facing board games

This collection contains catalogue games tagged with the Facing mechanic. Matching expansions are included, so an expansion appears when it adds or relies on Facing. Mechanic tags come from the published game data and describe how the game plays rather than its theme, which makes them a reliable way to find games with a similar feel.

Games follow their overall BoardGameGeek rank, with unranked titles last. The BGG rank is a community rating weighted by the number of votes, so widely played games tend to rank higher than niche ones. It is a useful starting point but not a verdict: a lower-ranked title can still be the right fit for your group.

Yes. An expansion can appear when it matches this mechanic or designer. Check its game page for the base game, because an expansion usually cannot be played on its own. Expansions are shown with their own rank where BoardGameGeek assigns one, which is why they can sit next to base games in this collection.

Open any game from “Facing board games” and look for its rules assistant section. Where the assistant is ready, it explains turns, card effects and disputed situations in plain language, with references to verified official sources and saved question history. Readiness differs by game and edition, so a game’s presence in this collection does not by itself guarantee a ready assistant.

Not every game in “Facing board games” has narration. Use the narration filter in the catalogue to find games with playable scenario audio, then open a game page and choose a chapter and section in its player. Availability depends on the game and selected language; a place in this catalogue or collection does not guarantee narration.
