Adventure Realms: Solo Mode is an expansion for Adventure Realms released in 2023 for 1 player, 40–90 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Peter Jank and its main mechanics are Hand Management, Race, and Solo / Solitaire Game.
It is finally here...SOLO MODE! The player will face off against the Shadow who is trying to collect points, the elemental stones, and spread Darkness throughout the Realms. The Solo Mode is extremely low upkeep while also being quite difficult to beat. The Shadow will be spreading darkness throughout the realms while also racing through the dungeon to collect the Elemental Stones. If darkness spreads into each realm, the player immediately loses. However, if the player is able to defeat the Shadow's Final Form, then the player immediately wins. The Solo Mode is only played with the Base Game of Adventure Realms. This only utilizes the base game board and should not be played with the expansion boards. —description from the publisher The solo mode is part of "The time trigger" expansion but also sold separately.
Adventure Realms: Solo Mode supports 1 player according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
The listed playing time for Adventure Realms: Solo Mode is 40–90 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Adventure Realms: Solo Mode for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Adventure Realms: Solo Mode belongs to these categories: Fantasy, Adventure, and Expansion for Base-game. Its main mechanics are Hand Management, Race, and Solo / Solitaire Game. The credited designers of Adventure Realms: Solo Mode are: Peter Jank. These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers. The catalogue lists Adventure Realms: Solo Mode as an expansion for Adventure Realms. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need Adventure Realms to use it. Check that your edition of Adventure Realms is compatible, as some expansions were revised between editions.
