Conquest Tactics: Inferno is an expansion for Conquest Tactics for 2 players, 60 minutes per game, and ages 13 and up. It was designed by Andy Niggles, Tony Nowacki, and Tom Rubino.
Conquest Tactics: Inferno includes forty new cards, encompassing all of the different card types in the Conquest Tactics base game, with five copies of every Troop, three of every Spell and Skill, two of every Base, and so on. These cards give certain factions access to spell and skill types that they've never been able to use before, gives other factions new mechanisms that reinforce their existing strategies, and expands on each factions' existing upgrade trees for troops, in addition to including victory conditions and bases that allow for new strategies and new cross-faction deck combinations. The Kickstarter for this expansion ended unsuccessfully on September 1, 2012, and it was not released. The developers stated a continued interest in releasing this expansion in June 2013, but there has been no further news.
Conquest Tactics: Inferno supports 2 players according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
The listed playing time for Conquest Tactics: Inferno is 60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Conquest Tactics: Inferno for ages 13 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Conquest Tactics: Inferno belongs to these categories: Fantasy and Expansion for Base-game. Categories describe the theme, setting and style of a game rather than its rules. The catalogue lists Conquest Tactics: Inferno as an expansion for Conquest Tactics. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need Conquest Tactics to use it.
