D100 Dungeon is a board game released in 2018 for 1 player, 5–90 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Martin Knight and its main mechanics are Dice Rolling, Paper-and-Pencil, and Role Playing.
D100 Dungeon (Book 1) is a game in which you will steer an adventurer through underground caves and dungeons, looking for lost treasures and completing dangerous quests. With each game your adventurer will gain wealth, recognition and become stronger and increasingly skilled in their pursuits. All you will need to play D100 Dungeon, is a pencil, eraser, a few dice and your imagination. The game uses a series of tables and harks back to a cross over of an RPG and a choose-your-own adventure book, with quests and character development. You can pick this up and play as and when you have free time. Each quest is a trip to the dungeon, where you will have a specific goal. Whether you win or fail the quest, your character is constantly developing and looting better and better equipment and more gold. As you progress through the dungeon, you map your progress and make notes so you can easily return back to a quest you have started next time. This is an ideal lunch break, train journey, or flight filler game. You can visit the games website here :https://www.mkgames.co.uk/d100dungeon —description from the designer
D100 Dungeon supports 1 player according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
The listed playing time for D100 Dungeon is 5–90 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists D100 Dungeon for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
D100 Dungeon has a complexity rating of 2.8 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
D100 Dungeon belongs to these categories: Fantasy, Print & Play, and Dice. Its main mechanics are Dice Rolling, Paper-and-Pencil, and Role Playing. Categories describe the theme and setting of a game, while mechanics describe what players actually do on their turns. Each mechanic links to a catalogue hub with similar games, which helps when you want something comparable.
The credited designers of D100 Dungeon are: Martin Knight. These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers.
