Players represent politicians in the Continental Congress, generals in the field, envoys abroad, and executive officeholders, together trying to keep the nascent Republic independent of the invading British armies (and hoping no one decides to become a Benedict Arnold). New features in this version include: A representation of the war and military forces on the map via pawns and cubes Congress wielding executive power via the committee system The chance to collectively write a constitution that will affect your later play of the base game and other expansions Automatic rules to control the British fleets and armies Many more Issues, Statesmen, Actions, and Events —description from the publisher
