Hop la bille is a board game released in 2013 for 2–4 players, 20 minutes per game, and ages 6 and up. It was designed by Florent Toscano.
Hop la bille is a marbles game, in which you need to steal other players' marbles in order to achieve the goals on your cards, which are cards with circles of different colors, corresponding to the colors of the marble on the table. Players can steal another player marble by hitting it with one of their marbles. If during a turn a player doesn't hit any oppenent's marble, then his marble is put in the center of the table. When the marbles in front of a player correspond exactly to the colors indicated on one of his goal card he flip it over to indicate that this goal has been met. As soon as a player has finished his third goal card, he is declared the winner.
Hop la bille supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Hop la bille is 20 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster.
