Mroczny Amulet is a board game released in 2023 for 1–12 players, 60 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Jacek Gołębiowski and its main mechanics are Storytelling, Role Playing, and Cooperative Game.
Dark Amulet is a cooperative, role-playing card game for 1-12 players in which you must defeat the Living Curse to return to our world. The problem is that you are just ordinary people. In this game, each of you takes on the role of an ordinary person from the Character penalty. On your turn, you become the Amulet Holder, and you will create obstacles using Problem cards while the other players overcome them using Solution cards. As the Keeper of the Amulet, you choose the solution that suits you best and pass the turn to the next player. The fate of your characters will be decided in the Finale, where, after overcoming the last problem, you will undo the Living Curse together. You do not need any experience in RPR sessions. You don't need a Game Master. Just start playing after opening the box and reading the short instructions.
Mroczny Amulet supports 1–12 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Mroczny Amulet is 60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Mroczny Amulet for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Mroczny Amulet has a complexity rating of 1.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
