Netflix: Trending Now is a board game released in 2021 for 3–10 players, 20–60 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Bryan Wilson and Sara Farber and its main mechanics are Player Judge and Turn Order: Role Order.
The Judge flips over a Situation, unleasing a flurry of Netflix recommendations from the peanut gallery. The peanut gallery chooses content and a plot twist from their hand. Which content and plot twist combo will win the Judge's heart? The player on the Judge's left is the Drama Llama, who has the ability to add additional drama to the choices. Whose plans will get disrupted by the Drama Llama at the worst possible time? Players continue to rotate between the Judge, the Drama Llama, and the Peanut Gallery. If the Judge picks your show, you earn the Situation Card; earn five cards to be crowned Champion of the Remote and take charge of what you watch next on Netflix.
Netflix: Trending Now supports 3–10 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Netflix: Trending Now is 20–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Netflix: Trending Now for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
