Welcome to the colorful world of NIJI (rainbow in Japanese). In this game you will need to get the most cards from the rainbow from the center of the table by playing facedown simultaneously two cards and trying to guess what colors have played other players. When revealed the cards by turns, each player check if they achieve 4 card from the same color on the center of the table, if so, they grab all those cards and place face up in their own area, but careful if someone place a card and makes to be 7 colors on the center of the table, they will grab the colors form another players area. In addition to this, you will need to manage your cards to not grab a color that you already have or you will all cards from the same color. Anticipate the rest of the players and be the player worthy of the title of being the NIJI ambassador.

Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for NIJI is 15–20 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists NIJI for ages 6 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
