No Game Over is a board game released in 2016 for 2–6 players, 15–30 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Valle Pacheco and its main mechanics are Hand Management, Take That, and Player Elimination.
Description from the publisher: No Game Over is an easy game for 2 to 6 players, inspired by the world of video games (there are 144 different cards, all of which have references to video games). You´ll have fun and quick matches (15-30 minutes). It´s really easy to learn how to play, and it´s easy to start to annoy your opponents (the main aim of the game). On your go, you start a Level. You can get a curse, or a fight with an enemy. You can use your strength (equipment and lives) and the cards in your hand to win the fight. The other players will try to make you lose. If you win, you get a life and the prizes of the enemies you defeated. If you lose your fight, you lose a life. You can win in two ways: You survive and the other players die You get the maximum number of lives (6) and you defeat a Final Boss. Did you die? Don´t worry, you are not going to be bored watching the others play. You become a ghost who keeps annoying the other players!
No Game Over supports 2–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for No Game Over is 15–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists No Game Over for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
No Game Over has a complexity rating of 1.6 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
