The Faded Fortress was once the home of the most powerful magicians of the Four Kingdoms, now, after the war of the 200 years and at a time where the magic is persecuted, it has been abandoned. The Fortress is full of dangers and curses, but also houses all kinds of relics, including the Ancient Orbes, the most desired treasure by any adventurer. In Orb Hunters each player plays an adventurer in search of relics. In each turn players assign "Adventurer Cards" to obtain relics. The objective of the game is to obtain wealth by avoiding wounds, maintaining a balance between these 2 elements will be key to achieving victory. —description from the publisher La Fortaleza Apagada fue el hogar de los magos más poderos de los Cuatro Reinos, ahora, tras la guerra de los 200 años y en una época donde la magia es perseguida, ha quedado abandonada. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Orb Hunters is 15–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Orb Hunters for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Orb Hunters has a complexity rating of 2.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
